An Endowment Fund is a fund that is donated permanently to an institution in order to fund a particular academic or educational purpose.

St. Saviours School Ikoyi will be celebrating its 60th anniversary in 2011. The School wants to continue to maintain its international standard and deliver exceptional quality education for the next 60 years and beyond. As such the Board of Trustees have decided to establish an Endowment Fund for the school.

This means protecting what is great about St. Saviours; improving on what isn't and ensuring that the international standard of the school is maintained so that our children can compete effectively, locally and internationally, and be proud to say that they went to St. Saviours School Ikoyi.

The School needs your support to make this desire achievable. We are looking for parents, aunties, uncles, grandparents and alumni members willing to pledge gifts and or cash donations to launch the Fund.

We have agreed to give ourselves a period of 5 years to raise funds for the Endowment Fund. The first fundraising exercise was the extremely successful Walk-a-thon, which was an initiative of parents in the school and organised in conjunction with the PTA. This event raised a substantial amount of money, which has been used to kick-start the fund. The Walk-a-thon is intended to continue as a PTA annual event.

We sincerely appeal that you join us to build on this rich heritage for our children.

The Board of Trustees have appointed an Endowment Fund Committee that will oversee the set-up and subsequently the monitoring of the operations of the St. Saviours School Ikoyi Endowment Fund. The Committee has developed a governance structure, which has been approved by the Board of Trustees and will be made available to the School.

The goals and fund objectives are:
- For funding of capital projects and infrastructure
- To fund exceptional non-basic costs
- To improve the quality of education offered by the School
