St Saviour's School Ikoyi

St Saviour's School, Ikoyi, provides a carefully planned and structured teaching programme that takes full account of the English National Curriculum. We expect children to study hard to achieve their full potential and encourage them to develop a positive attitude towards their work.

A carefully structured core curriculum of English, Mathematics, Science and ICT is supplemented by the study of History, Geography, Art, PE, RE, PSCHE, Music and French. Careful cognisance is taken of our Nigerian setting. These are further enhanced by a full programme of extra-curricular Clubs.

We encourage children to develop a sense of personal and social responsibility through a challenging and stimulating personal and social education programme. We help children to develop cultural awareness through community involvement. We provide them with opportunity to take part in school activities such as the annual Christmas performance and end of year performance, as well as charity events.

In addition, we monitor the progress of the children to ensure that they receive help when they find work difficult, and are challenged to improve their performance.

At St Saviour's School, Ikoyi, children participate in all of the assessment requirements of the English National Curriculum, taking part in all NCT examinations as well as 11+ examinations for independent schools. Our pupils go on to attend many public schools in the UK such as Wycombe Abbey, St Mary's Hall (Stoneyhurst), Millfield and Cheltenham Ladies - to name just a few.

As a non-selective school we treat all children as individuals and look to add value to each pupil. We have included a summary of our NCT results for 2007 - 2009 below.
